Durban City are waiting on Kaizer Chiefs to decide on a potential loan move for striker Tashreeq Morris, with club owner Farook Kadodia expressing frustration over delays.
The PSL outfit has been actively seeking to strengthen their attacking options and identified Morris as a target for a season-long loan arrangement. However, despite expressing formal interest, City remains in limbo as they await Chiefs' decision.

Speaking exclusively to Soccer Laduma, Kadodia confirmed the club's pursuit of the Chiefs striker while revealing the hold-up appears to be at Naturena.
Ball in Chiefs' Court
"Look, we had that interest, but there are some delays. I don't know what are the delays from Chiefs. We expressed our interest to show that we want him, and we are looking for Chiefs to finalise, and we are waiting for Chiefs now. We have expressed our interest, and now the ball is in the court of Chiefs," Kadodia told Soccer Laduma.
The uncertainty surrounding Morris' availability comes as Durban City look to build a competitive squad capable of staying in the top flight.
Lepasa Interest Cools
Meanwhile, Kadodia hinted that City have moved on from their previous interest in former Orlando Pirates striker Zakhele Lepasa.
"No. For Lepasa the agent is still shopping around, so let him shop around," Kadodia told the Siya crew.
When contacted for comment, Lepasa's agent Steve Kapeluschnik was unavailable for detailed discussion.
"I’m overseas. Haven’t spoken to them for a while," Kapeluschnik responded to Soccer Laduma.

Agents Remain Tight-Lipped
Morris' representative Glyn Binkin maintained his customary discretion when asked about City's loan interest, refusing to confirm or deny ongoing negotiations.
"I don’t discuss any deals until they happen or are in process," Bikin stated.
Soccer Laduma contacted Kaizer Chiefs for comment regarding Morris' potential loan move, but the club had not responded at the time of publication.
The delay leaves Durban City in an uncertain position as they continue their search for striking reinforcements ahead of the new season.
