As Kaizer Chiefs welcomed back the coach who last won a trophy with them, the Siya crew looks back at the club's most successful coaches in the PSL era when it comes to major titles.
The Soweto giants announced Stuart Baxter as their new coach on Wednesday, the coach returning for a second spell after his first stint with the club was a success. He won two league titles, as well as the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup, in the three seasons he spent with the club.
Probably the most successful coach for Amakhosi, is the late Ted Dumitru, who won four trophies in the two seasons he was with the club. Dumitru won back-to-back league titles and consecutive Coca Cola Cup titles.
A man who led Chiefs through 'operation vat alles', Muhsin Ertugral, is also right up there with the most successful coaches in the PSl era for the Soweto giants.
Amakhosi's only continental title, the Mandela Cup in 2001, was secured by Ertugral. He won four other knockout competitions with the club. Under Ertugral, Amakhosi won everything but the league title.
The Turk came returned for a second spell between 2007 and 2009 and won the 2008 MTN8.
