The story
Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana international striker, Zakhele Lepasa, ditched his BMW 1 series and VW ride for a more menacing bakkie.
Lepasa, who endured a difficult spell with injuries of late, is not only gearing up for a comeback in the 2025/26 season but also securing top-notch brand deals with the likes of Mahindra.
The 28-year-old has been riding and promoting the Mahindra Pik Up Double Cab 4x4 S11 Karoo STORM, valued at R657 999 according to the Indian-based car manufacturer's website.
In his first post with this powerful vehicle, Lepasa took his son on a ride during one of their off-road, remote getaways.
"From the rugged terrain in KZN to the steep climbs in Lesotho, this beast handled everything with ease," wrote Lepasa in his review of the Mahindra Pik Up on IG.
"Powered by a torquey engine, paired with a reliable 4x4 drivetrain, it offered exceptional grip, stability, and control even in the roughest conditions.
"The ground clearance and solid suspension made light work of rocky trails, while the durable chassis gave me confidence with every twist and turn," added the car-loving baller.
Even for the more mundane activities like driving your dogs around to take them on a walk, Lepasa seems to thoroughly enjoy his Mahindra, describing it as a "purpose-built machine for those who chase the wild roads."
