The story
Cassius Mailula was made to feel extra special by his Wydad Athletic Club teammates as they came together to celebrate his birthday on Thursday.
The team showed Mailula plenty of love, and the camaraderie helped create a warm and festive atmosphere in Wydad's Washington-based camp for the FIFA Club World Cup.
The memorable celebration for Mailula saw the recently turned 24-year-old being presented with a mammoth cake by teammate Stephane Aziz-Ki, and he was handed a sombrero hat to add to the birthday festivities.

Mailula marked another trip around the sun by posting a gallery on Instagram, capturing his moments on and off the pitch with Wydad, a snap with the Club World Cup trophy, and another with his now former coach, the man who brought him to Morocco, Rulani Mokwena.
His photo dump also featured loving moments with his girlfriend, Masego, including a video of the two of them dancing together.

Mailula and Thembinkosi Lorch's Wydad find themselves in the FIFA Club World Cup's Group G, alongside Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, Juventus and Al Ain.
The Moroccan giants will open their account against Man City on Wednesday, 18 June at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
