The story
Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana legend Siphiwe Tshabalala travelled across the George Washington Bridge to watch Chelsea overcome Fluminense at the MetLife Stadium on Tuesday in the FIFA Club World Cup semi-finals.
A brace from Chelsea's newest recruit up front, Joao Pedro, was enough to hand the Blues a 2-0 win over the valiant Brazilians, making Enzo Maresca’s men the first side to qualify for the new-look CWC final.
Shabba had a prime view of the game at the 85k-capacity stadium, which will host Sunday's final and next year’s FIFA World Cup final.
The 40-year-old, who's in the Big Apple for the FIFA Players Executive Programme, took to Instagram to share a four-image gallery of his matchday experience, mentioning that he's also looking forward to the second semi-final between European giants, Real Madrid and PSG.
