The story
Ahead of Royal AM's all-important DStv Premiership clash against champions Mamelodi Sundowns, the club's chairman and player Andile Mpisane showed his defiant side.
Mpisane took to his Instagram story to share a motivational message, with his team set to host Masandawana at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Tuesday night.
Thwihli Thwahla extended their winless streak to five matches after suffering a 1-0 defeat against Sundowns away on Saturday, marking it their fourth consecutive loss.
Royal AM currently sits in 14th place in the DStv Premiership standings, just two points above the relegation playoff spot (15th), currently held by Richards Bay. However, Thwihli Thwahla still has a game in hand.
With Mpisane's club desperately needing three points, which would end Sundowns' 50-match unbeaten run in the league, he posted this message on IG:
"Don't let anyone stop you from pursuing what you want to achieve. Life will test you to see how serious you are about pursuing a particular path. Sooner or later, you may face negative feedback. If you do, remember not to let anyone crush your dream," wrote Mpisane, attaching a picture of him playing for his club in the DStv Diski Challenge against AmaZulu.
Mpisane has only made three appearances in the league this season, coming against KwaZulu Natal opponents; Golden Arrows, AmaZulu and Richards Bay.
He's been on the bench on four occasions in 2024 and wasn't included in the squad that faced the newly-crowned champions over the weekend.
