WATCH: Hugo Broos Reacts To His Portrait From Rasta

As Bafana Bafana prepare for their Africa Cup of Nations opener tonight against Mali, we look back at Rasta the Artist's painting of Hugo Broos.

Check it out!

What's the story?

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos and his chargers are likely concluding their final preparations for tonight's AFCON Group E encounter against Mali.

With South Africa hoping to go all the way at this year's continental showdown, Rasta the Artist made sure Broos headed to the Ivory Coast knowing he has a Rasta-special portrait.

Let's take a closer look...

Rasta's gesture for Hugo Broos

Rasta the Artist is inspired by sports as much as politics and pop culture, with the infamous painter giving the Bafana Bafana head coach quite the send off.

Rasta encountered the Bafana boss at the OR Tambo International Airport on the day of the team's departure for AFCON.

As the coach, escorted by Police, made his way through to board the team's flight, Rasta shouted for Broos on the other side of the Police barricade to show him the artwork.

Broos appeared to be impressed with the work, with Rasta seemingly promising the Belgian the painting when he "comes home with the cup."

Take a look at Rasta's interaction with Broos:

Rasta's portrait of the Bafana head coach is quite impressive and although it's become his brand to sort-of distort what his subject actually looks like, Rasta has tried to be as accurate as he can in his portrait of Broos.

The football-mad artist has painted the likes of Lucas Radebe, Jessica Motaung, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Desiree Ellis, Rulani Mokwena and the late Clive Barker to name a few football personalities.
