After announcing Suzuki as a new vehicle partner and sleeve sponsor, the Buccaneers are continuing their positive run with brands by joining forces with Amstel SA.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Soweto giants unveiled Amstel Lager as its new official beer partner, and as stated by the club's press release, this move "signals a refreshing shift in taste, tone, and tradition for the game."
The partnership will manifest through various fan-centred experiences, both in-stadium and beyond, all aimed at transforming matchday into a celebration of connection, passion, and pride.
"This is more than a sponsorship, it's a celebration of the people and connections that define South African football. Amstel's focus on quality friendships and authentic fan connection aligns seamlessly with Pirates' history, heritage, and future.
"This partnership reflects a new era rooted in mutual respect and a shared belief in quality over compromise," said Sindi Sibisi, Pirates' marketing manager, who was quoted in the club's press release.
The Buccaneers' former captain and legend, Happy Jele, shared his views on Amstel being announced as the club's new beer sponsor.
"At Pirates, doing things the right way has always mattered, how we play, how we carry ourselves, how we connect. This partnership with Amstel isn't just about beer, it's about belief. Belief in legacy, belief in quality, and belief in unity. That's what makes it special,” said Magents.
