SA shows love to Mudau Williams

Khuliso Mudau and Ronwen Williams once again showed why they're the best players in the country for their respective positions after helping Bafana secure a Bronze medal at AFCON.

Like Teboho Mokoena, Siphephelo Sithole, Mothobi Mvala, Grant Kekana and Themba Zwane, Mudau and Williams have stuck their necks out for the national team during the continental showpiece.

Mudau played every game at AFCON 2023 and was one of the better right-backs at AFCON, blocking the most crosses in the tournament.

Despite missing a glorious chance in the dying moments of the semi-final against Nigeria, "Sailor" showed no signs of fatigue against DR Congo with his sound one-on-one defending:

After his performance on Saturday evening, some fans went as far as calling Mudau the best right-back in Africa. Take a look at the Mudau online adoration:

Williams had the tournament of his career in the Ivory Coast, keeping five clean sheets and saving six penalties in shoot-outs against Cape Verde in the quarter-final and against DR Congo on Saturday to help Bafana to a third-place finish.

The Sundowns shot-stopper has been Bafana's safe hands throughout the tournament, helping Bafana concede only three goals throughout the tournament. According to OptaJabu, Williams prevented 4.4 goals, more than any other keeper at AFCON.
