The story
A Liverpool fan based in Switzerland, Florian Thürler, has officially set a new Guinness World Record for owning the largest collection of shirts from a single football club.
On 31 August 2025, to mark his 60th birthday, Thürler proudly displayed all 1,047 of his Liverpool FC jerseys in the Swiss village of Magglingen.
His passion for the club spans five decades, and this remarkable feat has turned his lifelong support into a piece of football history.
According to Swiss news outlet 20 Minuten, Thürler, a former Young Boys striker, showcased shirts dating back to the 1950s, creating a vivid timeline of the club’s iconic kits.
"For the collector, each jersey tells a story, from the first European Cups in the 1970s to the recent exploits of Mohamed Salah," wrote the above-mentioned Swiss publication, who quoted the collector saying, "When you support a club like this, it's for life."
The impressive collection was laid out on a football pitch in his hometown, drawing attention from both local media and global football fans.
