The story
Jose Riveiro's time at the Buccaneers finished on a positive note on Tuesday evening after his side thrashed Lamontville Golden Arrows 3-0 in his last match, at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Tuesday night.
It's been a tough farewell tour for Riveiro since the club announced a month ago (Nedbank Cup final loss & CAF Champions League elimination) that he'll leave at the end of the season, before shocking the SA football fraternity by revealing that they've granted the Spaniard an early exit, allowing him to leave after the Arrows clash.
For the warmup, the players honoured Riveiro by wearing special black jerseys to commemorate "El Padre."
The adidas jersey features an illustration of Riveiro squatting on the touchline, with the words "Gracias Jose Riveiro" displayed below.
After being swarmed with love by the matchgoing supporters at Orlando Stadium, which included a guard of honour from players and club staff, the farewell party continued in the changeroom.
"The Spanish Guitar" loosened up a bit to do a Zulu traditional dance known as "Ukusina", and was dressed in iBheshu noMqhele (skins and traditional headgear).
Before leaving the pitch, Riveiro was also presented with an artwork from a supporter. Take a look:
