The story
Banyana Banyana forward Jermaine Seoposenwe has expressed deep appreciation for her Mexican club, FC Rayadas Monterrey, in a heartfelt post on Twitter/X.
Since joining the team in 2022, the Cape Town-born baller has been a standout performer, playing a pivotal role in helping Rayadas secure both the 2024 Clausura title and the Apertura Tournament Championship.
Currently sitting fourth on the LIGA MX Femenil table — just one point ahead of fellow South African Thembi Kgatlana's Tigres UANL Femenil — Rayadas trail leaders Club América Femenil by eight points. Still, the 30-year-old Seoposenwe remains filled with gratitude for her journey and achievements at the club.
"When I first joined @Rayadas, I didn't know what it would mean for me as a player! I knew it would be a place I could compete for titles, but I never knew how the passion for this institution would change me as a player," wrote the 100-capped Banyana star.
"Over the years, I learned what it meant to put on this jersey! The people in this city and my team taught me. I feel exactly what the people feel! The love and passion are indescribable, and when you step onto that field, you feel it.
"The people in the stadium make you feel it, and it's honestly one of the best feelings in this world! That's why we fight until the very end, because we have a responsibility to represent everything this institution stands for!" added the versatile attacker, who attached pictures and her goal in Las Rayadas' cup win over Kgatlana's Tigres in November last year.
