The story
Kaizer Chiefs officially secured the services of former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Etiosa Ighodaro on Tuesday morning, with the striker taking to his Instagram account to celebrate the move.
The 24-year-old Nigerian forward has spent the past five seasons in South Africa after being signed by Sundowns from Abuja College.
However, he never featured for the Brazilians, instead going out on loan to several clubs, including AmaZulu, University of Pretoria (Tuks), Chippa United, and SuperSport United (now Siwelele FC).
Amakhosi have brought Ighodaro on board with a two-year contract, which includes an option to extend for an additional year.
The powerful centre forward, who has 25 goals in nearly 100 appearances as a professional baller, wrote, "Thank you Jesus," as the caption to one of his IG posts, celebrating an exciting new chapter at Amakhosi.
Ighodaro shared snaps from his first official photoshoot as a Glamour Boy, with his comments flooded with congratulatory messages from ex-teammates, fans and his new colleague in Aden McCarthy.
