The story
Ex-Bafana Bafana international Dean Furman showcased his enduring quality by scoring a stunning goal in an English non-league match over the weekend.
Playing in midfield for Warrington Rylands, Furman helped his side secure a 4-2 victory over Gainsborough Trinity in a Northern Premier League Premier Division clash on Saturday.
He sealed the win in style, unleashing a powerful strike from nearly 20 metres out that rocketed into the top corner, putting his team 4-1 ahead before Trinity managed a late consolation goal.
Now 37, Furman continues to impress with his composure and experience on the pitch. The former captain of SuperSport United has plenty of experience in the lower tiers of English football.
His resume includes stints with clubs such as Bradford City, Carlisle United, Oldham Athletic, and Altrincham FC. His latest goal is a testament to his enduring technical sharpness as he navigates the latter stages of his career.
