Lyle Foster got onto the scoresheet in Burnley's 3-1 home defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday, sending the Twitter/X timeline into raptures. 

Mzansi football fans were quick to congratulate Foster for the goal, hailing him for flying South Africa's flag high in one of the biggest leagues in the world.

Lyle Foster scored his first English Premier League goal in just his second match in the top-flight, but could not help Burnley avoid another league defeat.

The 22-year-old Bafana Bafana star has started in both of Burnley's league matches so far and came close to getting onto the scoresheet against Manchester City in their opening fixture.vFoster's goal drew plenty of attention on social media, with South African football fans flooding the timeline and Burnley's comment section to congratulate the ex-Pirates striker.
