The story
Gaston Sirino is on a high since adding to his South African football silverware collection over the weekend and took time yesterday to silence his sceptics.
Sirino opened the scoring from the penalty spot on Saturday as Kaizer Chiefs went on to end a decade-long wait for a trophy with a 2-1 win over their arch rivals, Orlando Pirates, in Durban.
The Nedbank Cup is the 13th trophy that the Uruguayan has won since he arrived in Mzansi from Bolivia in January 2018.
In lifting the Nedbank Cup, it means he's won silverware in every season throughout his PSL career to date.
On his IG story on Tuesday, Sirino had a cheeky clapback for his critics. He posted a snap of himself holding the Nedbank Cup trophy at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
"When I arrived, many things were said about me. Keep talking," wrote Sirino, who added a winking emoji to his message.
Sirino's important goal in the Soweto Derby Nedbank Cup final on Saturday took his goal contribution tally up to 10 in 24 appearances in all competitions.
