The story
After a standout season with Burnley FC, Bafana Bafana striker Lyle Foster expressed heartfelt gratitude to his club and loved ones in an emotional Instagram post featuring a 20-image gallery.
Burnley secured an immediate return to the English Premier League, finishing second in the EFL Championship with 100 points, level with champions Leeds United.
Foster played a key role in the campaign, contributing seven goals in 28 league appearances, and is cherishing his second promotion to the top flight with the Clarets.
The 24-year-old's photo dump featured snaps from Burnley's promotion trophy parade, himself with his family, friends and his dog.
"Grateful to be part of this amazing group, staff and whole team included. I couldn't have asked for a better season with this group, injuries here and there, but that's what makes us stronger. Stronger next season," wrote Foster, adding:
"Thank God for all my beautiful family, girlfriend, friends and everyone who supported and has been there since day 1. Still a lot to achieve, thank God," said the former Orlando Pirates striker, expressing gratitude to his supporters and family.
