The story

Experienced attacker Gaston Sirino proved instrumental in Amakhosi's 3-1 win over at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Sirino netted a scorcher from close range to double the lead for the Glamour Boys in the first half, making it his first league goal since scoring the opener in 2022 when Sundowns mauled Chiefs, 4-0.

The 33-year-old signed with Amakhosi on a free transfer for the 2024/25 season after being released by Mamelodi Sundowns.

The winger has played a crucial role in both of Kaizer Chiefs' matches to date, providing two assists against Marumo Gallants before getting his goal against Usuthu.

With Sirino set to meet his former club in a blockbuster Betway Premiership clash on Saturday at the FNB Stadium, the Uruguayan will be motivated more than ever to prove a point to his former employers.
