The story

Former Orlando Pirates captain, Happy 'Magents' Jele has provided some clarity over his future, as the experienced defender has remained a free agent since parting ways with Royal AM in June 2023,

In speaking to Morena Mothupi on the Smash Sports' 'Football Faras' podcast, the 37-year-old has hinted at calling time on his career sooner rather than later.

"I haven't announced it yet, but it's something that is on my mind. It's very difficult for a player to come back after over a year and being in competition with other players, it's very difficult.

"For now, it's [retiring] is in my thoughts, I think any time soon, I'll do it," said Magents when asked on the status of his professional football career.
