Let's take a closer look...

Edmilson Dove's good deed

The Amakhosi defender is currently back home in Mozambique for the World Cup break.

He's been soaking in the sun with his wife at the popular holiday destination Ponta De Ouro and finding time to help out children in need from his home town of Xai Xai in the province of Gaza.

He organised a charity football match between Xai-Xai Legends vs Amigos Do Edmilson (Friends of Edmilson Dove), where people were encouraged to contribute food parcels to watch the game.

"Contribute with what you can. It can be 1kg of any food or any hygienic product," reads a translation of what was written in the flier for the exhibition match.

Dove's team wore donated Kaizer Chiefs kits, in a match that Dove also took part in.

"I wanna take this opportunity to show my gratitude to everyone involved in this project. First I wanna thank God for the gift of live and healthy, for blessing me more than I deserve and for protecting and loving me unconditionally.

"My family for the unconditional support, for always being by my side through tick and thin. To each and every person who took their time to come and support, you all are appreciated and thank you will never be enough.

"To all my friends who did not turn their backs on me and extended their hands and embraced this cause, you not only got my gratitude but of so many reached kids as well. To my club @kcfcofficial for laying their hand and assisting me in so many ways, THANK YOU," said Dove on IG.

Dove thanked the players who took part in the charity match and hopes for similar projects in the future.
