The story
Kaizer Chiefs pleased its supporters by unveiling their new African-inspired home and away kits with Kappa for the upcoming 2025/26 season.
The Italian sportswear giants presented another striking set of kits for Amakhosi, with YFM radio host and model, Ayanda MVP, giving her sign of approval to the new strips.
In revealing these kits, Amakhosi's creative direction saw them merging the worlds of football with arts and culture, as both home and away tops represent a bold celebration of the game beyond the pitch.
Ayanda showed her appreciation for Kappa's new Chiefs kit designs, which are rooted in African art and the culture of Amakhosi as a whole.
"I really love what's going on with this brand new [home] jersey because it also epitomises what it's like to be young and being in the motion of arts, culture and sports all at the same time," shared Ayanda in a clip shared by Chiefs' social media team on Instagram.
"We all see ourselves in a player, we see ourselves in music and culture. We embrace it in different spaces and in the clothes that we wear. So, for Kaizer Chiefs to hit me up for this project, I said 'say less,'" added Ayanda on being handpicked as one of the kit models.
"The fit is dope, and the design of the shirt is too. It's just saying we're cool, young and vibrant all in one shirt," added Ayanda, who is no stranger to modelling a new Chiefs kit after being involved in the 2022/23 kit launch, the club's last one with Nike.
