Shabba's dance, like the spectacular goal that preceded it, lives long in the memory of football fans around the world, with that unforgettable moment against Mexico at the FNB Stadium still being shared regularly online.

The Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana legend was ecstatic by Griezmann doing his celebration with Atleti teammate and World Cup-winning Argentinian midfielder, Rodrigo de Paul.

In his post-match interview, Man of the Match Griezmann explained what inspired him to honour Tshabalala and do the magical celebration.

"We were watching celebrations at home and this one popped up, Tshabalala did it in the South Africa World Cup, I think. Amaro [Griezmann's daughter] loved it," explained Griezmann,

"I sent it to Rodri [Rodrigo de Paul], and he was really looking forward to doing it. We nailed it, it was perfect."
