It’s Her Moment: Engen Champions Women In Sport This Women’s Month

Engen proudly presents It’s Her Moment, a dynamic continuation of its commitment to celebrating the women shaping the future of South African sport.

Building on the momentum of the Engen Knockout Challenge, the campaign spotlights trailblazers such as Candice Chirwa and Princess Mobeng. While not players themselves, both play influential roles in the football ecosystem, creating visible role models for young girls to envision futures as players, media professionals, administrators, or advocates.

More than just a campaign, It’s Her Moment highlights the passion, resilience, and talent of women in football, fostering representation and unlocking opportunities across every facet of the game.

Candice Chirwa, recently named in the 2025 Forbes 30 Under 30 list, leads impactful community initiatives that inspire and connect with young women.  Princess Mobeng, the inaugural Engen Sportscaster Search winner, amplifies these stories through her powerful media voice. Together, they demonstrate how women enrich football beyond the pitch, opening doors for the next generation to follow their dreams.

“When young girls see women excelling in diverse roles within football - from media and administration to community leadership - it broadens their vision of what’s possible,” says Tsholo Tiro, Engen Brand & Sponsorship Manager. “Candice and Princess show that football is much bigger than the pitch, inspiring girls to thrive in every corner of the sport.”

From the electrifying action of the Engen Knockout Challenge girls finals to the stories that capture the heartbeat of diski culture, this Women’s Month Engen honours the power and progress of women who are transforming football from every angle.

This August. It’s her voice. Her journey. Her passion. It’s her moment.
