Exciting fixtures ahead in anticipation as the Premier Soccer League's Reserve league – the MultiChoice Diski Shield makes a return for its second installment this season.
As confirmed by the PSL, the second edition of the MultiChoice Diski Shield is set to commence at the Thohoyandou Stadium in Limpopo this weekend over two days on Saturday and Sunday.

"The second edition of the MultiChoice Diski Shield commences at the Thohoyandou Stadium on 30 and 31 March 2019. The Diski Shield is an extension of the PSL Reserve League, the MultiChoice Diski Challenge and takes the shape of knockout competition with 24 matches played in total," confirmed the PSL in a statement.
"The clubs are grouped as follows: Group 1 - Bidvest Wits, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Highlands Park.
"Group 2 - Bloemfontein Celtic, Cape Town City, Free State Stars and SuperSport United.
"Group 3 - Baroka FC, Black Leopards, Mamelodi Sundowns and Polokwane City.
"Group 4 - AmaZulu FC, Chippa United, Lamontville Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United," confirmed the league.

"In the first round, teams will play 3 matches as they seek to top their respective groups. Winners of the groups will advance to the semi-finals. The top three clubs will win prize money to donate towards a community football development initiative of their choice. The winners will receive R150 000, the runners up will receive R75 000 and the third-place team will receive R25 000," read the league's statement.

Chiefs won the inaugural MultiChoice Diski Shield last season, following their impressive 3-1 win over Mamelodi Sundowns in May last year.
