MultiChoice Diski Challenge

Group A

Full Time: University Of Pretoria 3-1 Kaizer Chiefs

Date: 25 October 2014

Venue: Galeshewe stadium

Goals from Botshelo Mfulwane, Grant Kekana and Lucky Mathosi saw the University of Pretoria come from behind to beat Kaizer Chiefs in a MultiChoice Diski Challenge match at the Galeshewe stadium in Kimberly on Saturday afternoon.

The result sees Tuks qualify ahead of Chiefs for the quarterfinal stages of the competition.

Tuks finished Group A in fourth place with 11 points after seven games, the same number of points as Chiefs but with a superior goal difference.

Chiefs opened the scoring on the half hour mark when Phakamani Mngadi broke into the right side of the box and finished with aplomb from 14-yards out, 1-0.

Tuks, though, hit back six minutes later after some sloppy defending from the Amakhosi allowed Botshelo Mfulwane through on goal and he duly levelled matters with just the keeper to beat, 1-1.

The second half saw Tuks playing the better football and finally they made their pressure tell in the with their second goal courtesy of Grant Kekana after poking home a goalmouth scramble, 2-1.

A couple of minutes later Lucky Mathosi sealed their place in the quarterfinals of the competition after heading home a left wing cross, 3-1.
