DStv Diski Challenge Wrap 23-24 October

Mamelodi Sundowns extended their lead at the top of the DStv Diski Challenge table following a 4-0 victory over Sekhukhune United on Saturday.

A brace from Jerome Karelse and goals from Thando Buthelezi and Ofentse Mashiane did the business for Masandawana, bringing Babina Noko back to earth following their win over Royal AM.

Kaizer Chiefs returned back to winning ways at home against TS Galaxy on the back of a 1-0 victory to move into seventh spot.

The winner from the Glamour Boys came in the first half through Sydney Ramushu, as the Rockets suffered back-to-back losses following last week's loss to Mamelodi Sundowns.

AmaZulu's search for their first win of the season continued against Marumo Gallants FC, who settled for a goalless draw.

With seven matches played, Usuthu are now the only team yet to register a win while Gallants continue to drop down the pecking order.

Chippa United moved into second spot following a 1-0 win over Cape Town City at the Wolfson Stadium in Gqeberha.

It is the Chilli Boys third win in succession with the winning strike coming from star player Thulani Mini, denying City the chance to jump into the top eight.

A double from Boitumelo Radiopane directed Orlando Pirates to a point off the leaders Mamelodi Sundowns with a 4-1 triumph over Golden Arrows at the Rand Stadium on Sunday.

Radiopane struck either half before Mohau Nkota and Thabiso Monyane added to Abafana Besthende's woes, with Samkelo Mzolo on target for the away contingent.

Stellenbosch FC moved back into second spot through a thorough 3-1 victory over SuperSport United at the Idas Valley Sports Ground.

A brace from Fuad Johnson highlighted the home side's display with Solly Khunyedi in on the act too, whilst Keenan Bezuidenhout replied for United.

Maritzburg United turned around a halftime deficit to contain Baroka FC to a 3-3 draw at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The host looked to have gone on to claim victory following a bright start, but the Team of Choice rallied back to share the spoils.

Swallows finally picked up their first win of the campaign after seeing off Royal AM 2-1 at the Dobsonville Stadium to climb off the foot of the table.

Following a goalless opening half, the Dube Birds struck twice amidst the response from Royal AM to land all the points this time around.
