DStv Diski Challenge wrap

Mamelodi Sundowns finished the match week top of the Diski Challenge table with a come from behind 2-1 win over TS Galaxy.

Aphelele Teto put the Rockets in front at halftime, but Masandawana possessed a different spark at the restart to go on and claim the win whilst Galaxy experienced their first loss of the season.

Kaizer Chiefs picked up a point on the road against Cape Town City at the Malta Park following a 2-2 draw to move away from the bottom-three.

Chiefs led at the break courtesy of a double from Mduduzi Tshabalala before the Citizens responded through Ashley Nel and Jarred Hendricks.

Stellenbosch FC continued their fine run of form in the DStv Diski Challenge as a 2-1 win at Golden Arrows on Saturday ensured top spot.

Fuad Johnson got the opener before Sthabiso Mkhize replied in the midst of Sihle Ntshuntshe being dismissed whilst Jared Van der Berg secured the winner to leave Arrows in the bottom-half.

Orlando Pirates snapped an inconsistent spell with a 2-0 victory at home to Baroka FC to join Stellenbosch FC at the top of the pile.

Pirates travelled into halftime in front courtesy of Morapedi Ralenkoane and saw Mohau Nkota get in on the act in the second period to see Baroka to successive losses.

Maritzburg United went within a point of Mamelodi Sundowns in the aftermath of a 1-0 success over Marumo Gallants FC, who slumped to consecutive defeats in the process.

Gallants, who led the way not so long ago, dropped down the pecking order courtesy of Asanda Buthelezi's first half finish.

Two goals was all it took Chippa United to claim consecutive victories as a 2-0 win over the winless and rock-bottom Swallows FC on their own patch materialised.

Starlet individual Kamohelo Haolo bagged both of the efforts that helped Daine Klate's men to the top-half of the table.

Royal AM slumped to another heavy loss after Sekhukhune United registered a comprehensive 3-0 win away from home.

Goals from Nkanyiso Mlotshwa, Rebone Ntsoane and Theoha helped Babina Noko to go from 12th spot into seventh spot, as Royal AM drop into the bottom-half.

SuperSport United made it two wins in a row as 1-0 victory over second-bottom AmaZulu at the King Zwelithini Stadium took place.

The winner came in the final four minutes of the match by Sinenjongo Mkiva, leaving United to close in on the early pace-setters.
