Mamelodi Sundowns 1-4 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs pulled three points clear at the top of Stream 2 after hammering Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday afternoon at Johannesburg Stadium.

Kamohelo Hoala completed his hat-trick in the first stanza as Chiefs went to the break leading 3-1, with Ofentse Mashiane on the scoresheet for Sundowns.

Tshepo Mohlala completed the rout for Amakhosi with the fourth goal late in the game.

Orlando Pirates 2-3 Swallows

Orlando Pirates lost back-to-back matches in Stream 2 after a narrow defeat in a five-goal thriller against Swallows in the original Soweto derby on Saturday afternoon at Rand Stadium.

The Buccaneers raced to a two-goal lead inside the first 16 minutes after a brace by Sizwe Jaca but Mnqobi Mkhize pulled a goal back for the Birds just before the half-hour mark while Philani Mvelase levelled matters for the visitors five minutes from the break.

Simphiwe Nkosi completed the comeback for Swallows as he gave them a 2-1 lead five minutes later and Pirates had a chance to salvage a point after they were awarded a penalty in the last 13 minutes but Sifiso Luthuli's spot-kick was saved by goalkeeper Thulane Mngomezulu.

SuperSport United 4-3 Maritzburg United

SuperSport United claimed their firs win in Stream 1 after edging a seven-goal thriller against Maritzburg United on Sunday morning at Johannesburg Stadium.

Phiwayinkosi Zuma and Thobeka Zondi gave Maritzburg a two-goal lead in the first eight minutes but Thabang Mahlangu and Keenan Bezuidenhout got two goals back for Matsatsantsa before half-time.

Ismail Riyaaz restored the lead for the Team of Choice just before the hour-mark but Selaelo Rasebotja made it 3-3 before Bilal Baloyi snatched the winner for SuperSport two minutes before time.

Cape Town City 2-0 Chippa United

Cape Town City climbed to the top of Stream 1 after a 2-0 win over Chippa United on Sunday morning at Malta Park.

Taahir Goedeman and Diego Appollis got the goals for the Citizens as they went one point clear at the top of Stream 1.
