Orlando Pirates 0-1 Stellenbosch

Orlando Pirates missed the chance to revive their title challenge after a narrow 1-0 loss against Stellenbosch, who climbed up top of the table, on Sunday morning at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.

Langelihle Phili opened the scoring for Stellies on 20 minutes.

Pirates had a glorious chance to level matters from the penalty spot early in the second stanza but Lebo Mohlala missed the spot-kick that was awarded after Jabulani Mokone was brought down in the box.

Stellies jumped a point clear at the top of the log, eight points ahead of third-placed Pirates, with four games left to play.

Kaizer Chiefs 1-2 Polokwane City

Kaizer Chiefs are all but out of the title race after a 2-1 defeat against Polokwane City on Saturday morning at Dobsonville Stadium.

Amakhosi suffered back-to-back losses, as they remained fourth on the table, ten points behind leaders Stellenbosch, with four games to go.

Sekhukhune United 1-0 Mamelodi Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns lost their top spot after a slender 1-0 defeat against Sekhukhune United on Sunday afternoon at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, former Kaizer Chiefs striker Keletso Sifamo broke the deadlock for Sekhukhune with 18 minutes to go and that was enough to clinch maximum points.

The Brazilians dropped down to second on the table, one point behind Stellenbosch with four games remaining.

SuperSport United 1-0 Moroka Swallows

SuperSport United won their third game in a row after edging Moroka Swallows 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Sifiso Mazibuko scored the decisive goal for Matsatsantsa in the first stanza, from a cracker of a strike after he was assisted by Oratilwe Moloisane.

Golden Arrows 1-2 Cape Town City

Jody Ahshene became the outright leading goal-scorer with 16 goals for Cape Town City in their 2-1 win over Golden Arrows on Saturday morning at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

Ahshene opened the scoring for City on 17 minutes from the spot-kick and Samukele Mlaba levelled the score for Arrows on the stroke of half-time.

Carelse snatched the winner for the Citizens in added time.

AmaZulu 1-0 Richards Bay

AmaZulu ended a three-game losing streak after edging Richards Bay 1-0 in the KwaZulu-Natal derby on Sunday afternoon at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

Siphamandla Zikhali broke the deadlock for Usuthu ten minutes before the interval to clinch maximum points against their provincial rivals.
