Stellenbosch FC 1-1 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs cemented top spot following a 1-1 draw with Stellenbosch in Saturday's top-of-the-table clash.

Chiefs got off to a poor start while Siyabonga Gumede was shown a straight red card after five minutes for a foul on Cheswyn Philander.

The Soweto Giants, however, went on to take the lead just before the break courtesy of Naledi Hlongwane's 11th league goal of the season.

Stellenbosch then had a man sent off just before the hour mark, with Tony Mbunnga getting his second yellow card of the game.

However, that did not stop the defending champions from getting a point after Quwan Plaatjies nodded home the equaliser on 77 minutes.

Cape Town City 2-2 Orlando Pirates

Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates played to an entertaining 2-2 draw on Saturday morning.

The lead only lasted ten minutes as City captain Anoviyo Zinganto picked Shakeel April, who fired into the top corner.

City looked to have won the clash in the 92nd minute through Zinganto's strike but Pirates hit back two minutes later thanks to Mphekgoane's effort.
