Golden Arrows 3-1 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs were unable to build on last weekend's DStv Diski Challenge win after going down 3-1 to Golden Arrows at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday.

Abafana Besthende finished the first half in front through a strike from Daniel Mjengu, but the Amakhosi levelled before a late double from Samkelo Mzolo handed the host three points.

Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 AmaZulu

Mamelodi Sundowns recorded their first win of the season through a hard-fought 2-1 triumph over AmaZulu in a repeat of last season's Diski Challenge Rewired final.

Masandawana lost their opener against SuperSport United in the Tshwane derby last week Sunday, whilst Usuthu played to a draw against Golden Arrows in the KwaZulu-Natal derby.

Orlando Pirates 1-0 Chippa United

Orlando Pirates rose from their dismal Soweto derby defeat against Kaizer Chiefs with a late 1-0 success over Chippa United at the Rand Stadium on Sunday.

The winning strike arrived in the last three minutes of the match through Mohau Nkota, who followed up on a delivery en-route to finding the net.

Stellenbosch FC 2-3 Baroka FC

Baroka FC turned around a halftime deficit against Stellenbosch FC to bag a 3-2 victory, a week after going down at home to Marumo Gallants in the Limpopo derby.

Fuad Johnson's first half brace had Stellies comfortable at the break before Baroka began a comeback through Bernard Bobete's double and a penalty from Lephalala settled matters.

Maritzburg United 1-1 Royal AM

Maritzburg was unable to two wins in row after having to come back from halftime to wipe a single deficit for a 1-1 draw against rivals Royal AM.

The Team of Choice was brought of jail by a telling second half header from attacker Siyabonga Ngcobo, who made it two goals from two matches.

TS Galaxy 1-0 Cape Town City

Cape Town City were handed back-to-back defeats in the league as TS Galaxy needed a late penalty to land a 1-0 victory at the Tsakane Stadium.

The aforementioned strike materialised in the late quarter of the match through the boot of Aphelele Teto after Ndumiso Xulu succumbed to a foul in the area.

Sekhukhune United 1-0 SuperSport United

SuperSport United lost their first match of the season away to Sekhukhune United fresh from their impressive Tshwane derby victory.

The rookies held their own with a goalless first spell before going on to net the winner ten minutes to the end courtesy of Bongumusa Dlamini.

Marumo Gallants FC 3-2 Swallows FC

Marumo Gallants extended their winning start to the season after defeating Swallows FC on Sunday morning.

Swallows remain without a win after starting the campaign with a goalless draw against TS Galaxy last week.
