Mamelodi Sundowns will need to claim a victory over Kaizer Chiefs in the Multichoice Diski challenge this weekend in order to keep their title hopes alive.
The King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban will host the penultimate fixtures of the MDC on 11 and 12 February.
Log-leaders, Bloemfontein Celtic currently have a three-point advantage over second-placed Sundowns, who are eager to be crowned the champions of the competition.
However, the Chloorkop-based side will need to ensure that they claim all three points this Sunday when they face Chiefs in a tell-all encounter, especially after suffering a point deduction this week.
The top spot is still anyone's for the taking, as Celtic (first), Sundowns (second), Wits (third), Chiefs (fourth), Maritzburg United (fifth) and Highlands Park (sixth) are all in with a chance of lifting the trophy at the end of the campaign.
Sundowns will look to eliminate Chiefs from the race when they face-off on Sunday, however, after doing so their chance at the trophy will only depend on Celtic's result against Ajax Cape Town on Saturday.
Here are the current top six's league standings and points:
1. Bloemfontein Celtic - 30
