Jali Unveiled At New Club

Andile Jali has been unveiled at a new club to end speculation around his future since leaving Moroka Swallows.

Jali lasted only the first half of the previous season with Swallows and was part of the players who left the club in December.

The former Orlando Pirates star joined Swallows from Mamelodi Sundowns as a free agent on a one-year contract with an option to renew.

Having spent the second half of the 2023/24 season without a club, which led to rumours that the 34-year-old midfield strongman might have been considering hanging up his boots, Chippa United had been expected to announce handing Jali a lifeline with a contract, according to a Siya source.

A second Siya source had indicated that Jali was spotted in training at Chippa.

The Chill Boys have since unveiled the industrious midfielder at the club's headquarters in Gqeberha.

"Chippa United FC is delighted to announce the signing of the prominent, Andile Jali, for the upcoming season. Born in Matatiele in the Eastern Cape, Jali left the province to pursue a successful career in both international and domestic football. He is finally returning to his home province, bringing his wealth of experience and skills to strengthen our squad. Welcome Back To The Eastern Cape Mhlekazi!" confirmed Chippa in a statement.
