The Egyptians came from behind to secure the win at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday afternoon, as they drop to second spot in their CAF Confederation Cup group.
However, the Buccaneers boss it's not the end of the world, as there are still matches to play.
"Disappointed to have lost the match, a draw would have been a fair result. We did not apply ourselves fully in this match," Tinkler said at the post match conference.
"It's not the end of the world for us the other teams in our group drew, we are number two in the group.
"We played against a good team today, who are experienced in how to win in these competitions are playing regularly at home."
"Yes we lost today but my players tried their best and we just need to analyse this match and rectify our mistakes going forward."
The Buccaneers take on CS Sfaxien in their next Confederation Group B clash in Tunisia.
