Mamelodi Sundowns Call Upon Club's Fans

Mamelodi Sundowns.

Absa Premiership defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, who will be travelling to the Democratic Republic of Congo for their CAF Champions League second leg tie, have called upon its club supporters to bid the team farewell.   Mabunda's Future Lies With Downs   The Brazilians will be jetting off to the diamond-rich country of Congo on Thursday, 2 April, for their colossal clash against DRC champions, TP Mazembe.   Pitso Mosimane's charges go into this crucial encounter with a 1-0 lead from the first leg, and will seek to replicate what cross-city rivals, Orlando Pirates achieved in 2013 in Lubumbashi.   Downs are scheduled to hold an open training for their supporters at the Nike Centre in Soweto, and the club's Media Officer, Thulani Thuswa, tells the Siya crew that this is an effort to give the supporters a chance to bid farewell to the team.    He said the supporters are welcome to watch the whole training and take photos with the players after training.    "We want to give the supporters the chance to see the players before they leave for Congo and wish them well.     "This is one way of taking the Sundowns brand to the people and bringing it close to the supporters so that they can know the players and the team better.     "Training tomorrow in Soweto starts at 10am and all the supporters are welcome," Thuswa concluded.
