Chiefs Crush Volcan Club In Champions League
Steve Komphela's troops comfortably ran out 4-0 victors over Volcan de Moroni in the Comoros, thanks to goals by Erick Mathoho (x2), and single strikes from Bernard Parker and Sula Matovu.
The 46-year-old, who earned 27 caps for his country, says that the CAF Champions League will not be a priority for Amakhosi, which will affect they way they approach games in Africa.
"It was good to start with a win for Chiefs in Africa but you know they will be cautious because that's not their main focus. It has never been for Chiefs," he told the Siya crew.
"Yes, they participate but they are always cautious about not getting injuries which can disturb them in the local league."
'Mercedez Benz' did however emphasize that Chiefs' campaign in Africa is looking promising after their 4-0 win away from home.
"It's good for them to start on a high note and let's see how far they will go but I know they will be very cautious," he concluded.
