Banyana Banyana Secure Victory Over Cameroon

Banyana Banyana continued their preparations for the 2016 Olympic games with a 2-0 win over Cameroon on Friday.

The clash was the first of two international friendlies against their Cameroonian counterparts in Doula, with the second encounter taking place on Monday.

Vera Pauw's charges opened the scoring in the first half through defender Lebohang Ramalepe, before the win was sealed by Mpumi Nyandeni in the second stanza.

There was also a bit of history for Banyana captain, Janine Van Wyk, who made her 124th appearance for the national side, matching Portia Modise.

Both Banyana and the men's National u23 side will know who they will face at the Olympics in April, with the draw scheduled for 14 April.
