Bafana Bafana head coach, Molefi Ntseki, has been handed a major boost this week with news of a striker returning in time for next month's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers…
South African frontman, Lebo Mothiba, hasn't played for RC Strasbourg since back in December when he picked up a groin injury while playing against Saint-Etienne, but has now been named in Strasbourg's squad for the first time in 2020.
The 24-year-old has three Ligue 1 goals to his name this season, the third-highest return in his side, and will be eager to add to his tally against Toulouse tonight if given the chance now that he is fully fit once again.
Mothiba has become a bit of a focal point at the front of Bafana's attack, so his return to fitness will come as welcome news for Molefi Ntseki ahead of their AFCON 2021 double-header against São Tomé and Príncipe home and away.
It remains to be seen whether the South African forward will head straight back into Thierry Laurey's starting XI tonight in Toulouse or whether he will start from the bench, but he will be delighted to be back amongst his teammates as they look to try and make a late push for a place in Europe next season.
