
Percy Tau Has Started Training With Witbank Spurs

Bafana Bafana star, Percy Tau, has started training with a Premier Soccer League side after returning from Belgium as he gets himself ready for this month's crunch clash with Libya. Read: Tau Set For Early SA Return After Baxter/RUSG Talks It has been confirmed to the Siya crew that Tau has started training with Shakes Mashaba's Witbank Spurs – a club where he spent a successful loan spell during his youth – as he looks to keep fit before travelling to Tunisia for Bafana's African Cup of Nations decider. The crew recently reported that Stuart Baxter had been in contact with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and their head coach, Luka Elsner, to reach a compromise involving the young star that meant he would not have to catch numerous long-haul flights this month. Read: Six Amakhosi Who Still Received International Call-Ups… RUSG played their final game of the regular season on March 3, and are now waiting for their UEFA Europa League play-offs get underway after the international break, and rather than fly back and forth it was agreed that the 24-year-old would remain in South Africa before reporting for international duty. Tau has been training with the National First Division side for the last day or so in the build-up to this week's Bafana camp, and will then report for duty on March 16 alongside his Absa Premiership-based compatriots.
