Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has given a hint on which players he will definitely pick for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in January next year.
Bafana will complete their schedule in the international break with another friendly, this time against the Democratic Republic of Congo on Tuesday evening and Broos suggested that he will revert back to his tried and tested team, as he starts preparing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the AFCON next year.

"[Against Namibia] we tried to give as much as possible play time to those who were new and those who didn't play (before), for example, [Nkosinathi] Sibisi, he is always with the team but he didn't play so much," Broos said in a press conference.
"But now players like [Mihlali] Mayambela, Percy Tau and others will be in the team (against Congo). When you see a little bit of our last three games, two times Liberia, take the team of Morocco, I think we will more and more go with that team," he said.
The Belgian went on and explained that he will not be making any more big changes in his squad from next month and expects to take the core of that team to the AFCON tournament.
"There will be no more big changes anymore for the next month. I'm about to go to a core of players which will work (towards) AFCON. Maybe there will be (changes) with injuries or a player who is really playing very good but from next month it will be nearly always the same core of players, which will play games in (World Cup) qualifiers and maybe the 23 players who will go to Ivory Coast for AFCON.
"That's the plan, to have that core of players, to work with them and prepare them for a good start in qualifiers and AFCON," he added.
