Following Bafana Bafana's failure to qualify for the 2021 African Cup of Nations, former Kaizer Chiefs coach Farouk Khan has revealed who he thinks should be roped in as part of the national team setup.
With Bafana failing to qualify for Cameroon 2021 after falling 2-0 away to Sudan on Sunday evening, doubts have been cast over the current Bafana setup, with widespread public calls for SAFA to overhaul the senior men's technical team, in the wake of the latest disaster.
According to renowned football coach and pundit Farouk Khan, who formed part of Chiefs' development structures, 61-year-old Muhsin Ertugral can make a huge difference if given a chance, although he did not indicate in what capacity Ertugral should be welcomed; as part of the technical team or as head coach.
In a series of tweets, the current Stars of Africa Academy director highlighted the problems that have blighted SAFA over the last few years, while heaping praise on Ertugral for his work in developing young players and bringing them through the first team system at the various teams he has worked at.

Ertugral is no stranger to local football, having made a name for himself 22 years ago when he took charge of Kaizer Chiefs in 1999.
Since then, he has coached no less than seven clubs in the PSL, which includes two stints as Chiefs coach, as well as a spell with Orlando Pirates.
Ertugral, whose last stint in South Africa was with Maritzburg United in 2019, has been serving the Turkish national team in the capacity of technical consultant.
