Breaking: Pirates Star Features In Latest Bafana Squad

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has announced his squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria and Zimbabwe, including in-form Orlando Pirates youngster Relebohile Mofokeng.

Bafana are set to face their rivals in crucial qualifiers, starting with a clash away from home to the Super Eagles before hosting the Warriors on home soil in Free State.

Bafana are second on the table after two matches in Group C of the qualifying campaign, with a 2-1 victory over Benin and a defeat to log leaders Rwanda away from home.

The two upcoming clashes will be important for Broos and his troops, knowing that they need to collect points to give themselves a chance of qualifying for the big showpiece in 2026, especially after doing so well at the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.

Mofokeng has been one of the top performers for Pirates this season and has been rewarded with his first call-up and a chance to make a debut against one of the biggest sides on the continent, in Nigeria.

Burnley striker Lyle Foster is back in the squad, while Patrick Maswanganyi keeps his place after being involved in the last camp.
