Former Bafana Bafana coach Trott Moloto has backed Nigeria's Super Eagles to do well at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Moloto, who is part of a Mamelodi Sundowns delegation on a courtesy visit to Nigerian Football Federation President, Alhaji Aminu Maigari, told the Tribune that the Super Eagles will lift Africa's flag high in Brazil.
"I have absolutely no doubt in the strength, character and capacity of the Super Eagles. You have a strong and vibrant squad, and I believe the Eagles will be ready to fly high in Brazil," said Moloto.
"The forthcoming FIFA World Cup is one that will favour African teams. The weather will be good for the continent's flag bearers, and I see the Super Eagles excelling," added Moloto.
Maigari was delighted at Moloto's confidence in Nigeria.
"I thank your delegation and I am moved by your confidence in Nigeria football and Nigeria footballers. I am aware that you presently have on your books one of our national team stars, Ejike Uzoenyi, and I am also aware that you are aiming to sign more Nigerian players," said Maigari.
"The government and good people of Nigeria are very much keen on the Super Eagles doing very well in Brazil. The NFF is fully determined to ensure the Eagles are thoroughly prepared to make the nation and the continent proud at the World Cup finals," concluded Maigari.
Nigeria are in Group F with Argentia, Bosnia Herzegovina and Iran.
