Planet Football recently compiled a 10-man ranking of the best dribblers in Europe's top five leagues – namely the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 – in the 2018/19 campaign.

The 10-man list is based on players who featured for a minimum of 1 000 minutes in their respective leagues, with their number of successful dribbles completed on average per 90 minutes being taken into consideration.

Southampton star Sofiane Boufal, who spent the latest campaign out on loan at Celta Vigo, is at the summit of the list with an average completion rate of 6.2 dribbles per match.

The Morocco international is followed by Hatem Ben Arfa in second place, with the former Paris Saint-Germain star registering 5.1 successful dribbles per match for Rennes in the past season.

Ivorian midfielder Jeremie Boga is the highest-ranking African on the list, completing the podium with 5.1 successful dribbles per 90 minutes, the same as Ben Arfa.

PSG superstar Neymar, who missed much of the season with a foot injury he sustained in January, occupies fourth spot with 4.7 successful dribbles per match.

Argentina and Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi finished the campaign as the highest goalscorer across Europe's top five leagues, but could only manage a sixth-place finish among the best dribblers across Europe with 4.5 successful dribbles completed each match.

Premier League superstar and reported Real Madrid target Eden Hazard, who is widely considered by many to be one of the best dribblers of this generation, sits in eighth position in the ranking with a successful completion rate of 4.2 dribblers per 90 minutes, while Juventus superstar Ronaldo failed to make it into the top 10.
