With the highly anticipated pre-season Carling Black Label Cup making a sensational return this year, Orlando Pirates' squad for the clash against their bitter rivals Kaizer Chiefs has been revealed.
The one-match tournament, which has gained prominence in recent years is back and with a twist it seems, with the match that is scheduled for 31 July set to be played at FNB Stadium in a first-ever nigh time kickoff of 20:00pm.
As has become the norm, fans have been casting their votes on who should be in their respective line-ups on the day.
Chiefs fans have gone with a strong line-up that includes a host of the team's big-name stars, while for Pirates, Zakhele Lepasa, who has not played football since 2020 after playing a key role early on in the season for the Buccaneers, has been included in the starting line-up.
Another injured star, Richard Ofori, who recently recovered from a groin strain and has been included in Ghana's squad ahead of friendly matches against Morocco and the Ivory Coast, has also been named in Pirates' starting XI.
The rest of the Pirates squad has remained unchanged, with the team widely resembling the one used by coach Josef Zinnbauer throughout the 2020/21 season.
