Bayern Munich star Jerome Boateng has responded to the negative remarks his club's chairman made about him.
Mourinho Explains The Reason Behind Martial's Struggles
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently hit out at the Germany international, accusing the defender of being more focused on things off the football pitch than on it.
The chairman's comments came after the team's shock loss to Rostov in the UEFA Champions League last week, and Boateng has addressed the situation, suggesting that Rummenigge should rather chat to him privately instead of going public with his criticism.
"I can only laugh about these statements," he told Sky.
"Next time, he can say it personally in my face – and then it's fine."
Boateng missed the Bavarians' 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday because of an injury.
'I Thought Balotelli Would Be A Lot Crazier'
The defender has played 12 matches in all competitions this season for Bayern, but only seven of those have come in the Bundesliga.
