Former FC Barcelona star Hristo Stoichkov, who coached the Brazilians between June 2009 and March 2010, has once again hit out at Los Blancos after their 1-1 draw with Real Betis on Sunday.
"There's a very famous song I sang," the 49-year-old tweeted, before twisting the lyrics of the jingle he used in a dessert advert from "How I love you, ready to eat" to "How I love you, ready to lose".
Stoichkov concluded with a direct message: "Merengues: how does it feel to have no trophies?"
The text accompanied an article from the internet with this intro: "Madrid's dressing room gives up on the Liga. The players believe they've slipped up a lot. 'We've dropped a lot of points and it's impossible to come back.'"
Stoichkov, who played for Barcelona between 1990 and 1995, and again from 1996 to 1998, and was part of the club's famous Dream Team, has often mocked his former rivals Real.
The Bulgarian made 216 appearances for the Catalan giants, scoring 105 goals and lifting 14 trophies.
