Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has been named in La Furia Roja's latest squad, with the 26-year-old deciding to make himself available for selection after a request from manager Enrique.

The 2020/21 Premier League winner, who was born in France, has been picked alongside club colleague Eric Garcia, who makes the team despite making only 12 appearances for City this season.

Barcelona's breakthrough prospect Pedri, 18, is the youngest player Enrique has named in his squad for the continental tournament, with the teenager set to feature as part of a midfield group that also includes Liverpool's Thiago Alcantara and Napoli's Fabian Ruiz.

Juventus forward Alvaro Morata will be looking to lead the line for Spain, while Villarreal striker Gerard Moreno will go to the tournament in the best form in his career, having scored 23 goals in 33 LaLiga matches this season.

Arguably the most surprising news is that Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has not been selected by Enrique, with the veteran defender set to miss his first major tournament since 2004.
