Gareth Southgate's side lost their previous fixture against La Furia Roja 2-1 at home, before claiming a point from their goalless draw with Croatia last Friday.
Spain, meanwhile, beat Croatia 6-0 back in September and could book their ticket to the semi-final of the newly formed Nations League if they beat England tonight.
La Furia Roja last lost a game in 90 minutes more than two years ago, with their most recent defeat at the 2018 FIFA World coming after penalties against Russia.
They have won all three games under new coach Luis Enrique, scoring 12 goals, while England have won only one of their past five fixtures.
They last beat Spain in 2011, and have lost five of their past seven clashes with the European giants.
