The draw for the UEFA Nations League group stages were confirmed on Tuesday evening, and defending champions Portugal have been drawn in a tough group with the world champions.
European champions Portugal are the inaugural winners of the newly formed tournament after defeating the Netherlands in last year's final.
With last season's edition having three teams in each group, UEFA have now changed the format to make it four teams per group in League A.
Portugal have been drawn against World champions France League A's Group two along with Sweden and 2018 World Cup finalists Croatia.
